What is Banner?

Banner is the key information database at Rice and the system of record for the University. Human Resources, Payroll, Finance and Student data are stored here. Banner is licensed from Ellucian and is used worldwide by colleges and universities.

Can I get access?

The information in Banner is accessed primarily through the Edgar Web Application & through the Esther Self-Service system. For more information on these systems, click Edgar or Esther on the left under General Information.
