Administrative Systems

Hyperion is a set of business intelligence applications from Oracle Corp. At Rice University they are currently used for access and reporting from Banner and Edgar's data store and for Financial Planning and Budgeting. A key component of the Hyperion system is the Essbase analytical database. Information from Banner is translated and loaded into Hyperion and Essbase.

Hyperion Products

Hyperion Interactive Reporting is used for accessing the Edgar data stores. Access is limited to select departments depending upon license availability.

Hyperion Planning & Budget is used for the University's budget and financial planning activities. Accounts are made available to those who participate in the Annual Budget Process. For more information, contact the Rice University Budget Office.
