Rice MarketPlace
Rice MarketPlace is an electronic procurement system that is tightly integrated with the Banner system. Rice MarketPlace provides for an easy shopping cart experience with vendor websites and catalogs as well as providing the ability for the direct entry of items to be purchased. Rice MarketPlace generates an electronic purchase order and requires no account reallocation after the fact. The information is posted to Banner immediately upon the electronic issuance of the PO and the funds are encumbered. This provides much more accurate budget information than other purchasing methods.
